This week, Tikehau Star Infra (“TSI”) has joined Tilson as an equity partner to accelerate investments in its existing digital infrastructure joint venture with Plenary Americas, called Plenary Broadband Infrastructure (“PBI”).
PBI has partnered with the North Carolina Department of Transportation (“NCDOT”) and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (“PTC”) to operate, maintain, and commercialize 1,100+ route miles of fiber and huts along the low latency, protected underground, and unique routes on the interstate right of way, serving hyperscalers, and all carriers who need access. PBI provides a pure commercial interface optimized for the most demanding long-haul users, while also providing service to all carriers along the way.
TSI joins strong digital and transportation partners in the PBI venture, including Plenary Americas and Tilson. TSI adds additional capacity to PBI’s investor team and brings its experience with transportation public-private partnerships.
